Randy at Marbles Motors did the paint - here is a link to the ebay auction that turned me on to him. Wasn't cheap, but it was done right. I've got various leftover xs2 parts I'm gonna sell at some point, let me know if you are looking for anything!

well... if I find a NOS one, I'll sell you mine, which only has minor pitting (barely visible from 10ft) to offset the cost a little. And I'm in Atlanta, so I'm pretty close to you. Are you restoring one? I just finished restoring mine:

Been keeping an eye out for one for a year now - they are hard to come by! I paid $300 for a NOS front fender and had it shipped from Australia :-/ The one on ebay has a few rust holes...

I have an XS2. I just finished rebuilding it and spared little expense getting it done, so I'm not sure anyone could make me an offer that would truly make me want to sell at this point... But I'm open to listening if you're in the market for something like this. Here's a quick video:

Looks like fresh oil from the motor, not the chain. And not the sump cover--that has a new gasket and is dry. I've got a full engine gasket set so I should have the right gasket for the gear train, just wanting to avoid draining the fresh oil. I guess since it's a fresh top-end, I may as well...

Got my bike (1972 xs2) running smoothly after a total restoration. It's got 7,600 miles and a fresh top-end, but didn't touch the bottom end. Since everything on the motor is freshly vapor blasted and the bottom end is painted new in duplicolor aluminum, it's pretty easy to detect leaks...

Sweet! I'm flying into Bozeman but heading over the pass to Livingston - I have cousins who live there so I'll be staying at their house. But I'll be hitting the Gallatin down toward Big Sky the day I fly in and will probably have dinner at that chicken and waffles place that evening on my way...
