The thing with standard airboxes is there's a good supply of "dead air" for the carbs to draw on. When you switch to pods you have to re jet to compensate for mix of fuel to air. I like pods cause they look sharp but the bike was designed the way it was for a reason, right?

I have an '84 XS currently resting under a tarp awaiting it's glorious transformation!!! ... ok, I just want to have it running so I can putter around on it. I have experienced some card issues I hope to address this season and away I go!!!

Mine is broken as well; I used a hex key that I happened to be holding in my hand at the time. Sure, just swap in a horn button, it's the same. I don't know if you can just buy the button.

I think stainless would look sharp and have the benefit of being low maintenance. Go for it!

Last season the right side quit firing. Took the carb apart, cleaned it up and put it back together. Then the right side fired... but left did not. Sooooo, obviously something got switched from one side to the other. This season will be pulling it off again, replacing everything and putting pods on.
