    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

Cheap and cheerful. Means more beer money 🤗 The front discs were, as said above, Chinese ones which are now unavailable. Can’t remember the name off hand (Lifan) but they were sourced from one of the chats on this site. I’ve had them for about 5 years now. Not done huge miles but they do work...

    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

Interesting thought. Spaghetti fork legs 🤣🤣🤣. Yes those callipers can be obtained at a good price. They read up well on their web site. Be nice to hear if anyone has used the Adelin callipers.

    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

Would’ve been a good offer. The 300mm disc set up keeps the standard look too. Very nice. Did you need to make brackets for the callipers? Here’s mine with the 280mm discs.

    Alternative callipers and 320mm discs???

https://roguemotorcycles.com.au/products/yamaha-xs750-big-brake-kit Saw this for the XS750 and thought it would be an easy change on the 650 as I believe the calliper mounts are the same. I have asked if they will fit the wire wheels. They obviously haven’t tried and I’m dubious as to whether...

    Lovely day.

Ta. Yeah a few more jobs done. Oil cooler and remote filter, changed the carbs. Not sure if the wheels were done in my last pictures. Cheep sticker off eBay 👍. Hmmm thought that was the wife moaning again for a moment 😖.

Cruzin Image and/or Sumo Rubber experience?

Just spoke to boring shop and weve agreed the Yamaha standard spec is probably best, especially with all the feedback from people here. He said he would've gone slightly overspec anyway so tighter spec plus a whisker is about standard :).

Cruzin Image and/or Sumo Rubber experience?

I've just purchased a set of these pistons and need to know what piston to bore clearance was used, because the rebore man said the standard Yamaha tolerances sounded tight for cast pistons.

    Swingarm question

Nighthog, our paths cross again.:) Being locked up indoors I was going to remove the swingarm just for fun. Can you tell me if the bearing kit is any better than a replacement bush kit? I've done the front caliper rebuilds.New seals, stainless pistons, reprayed looked lovely, then I fitted...

Mikes XS Cafe Seat for Heritage Specials - pics, please

Hmmmm. For what it's worth, your not making a copy but your own version. It'll be a bespoke cover, so replication isn't the issue. I reckon those ears are just for line continuity with the custom spec, cut them off. On mine the only change in the base, as can be seen in that pic is from where...

This sort of side view? I can feel no join in or around the base edge. If they've used a standard base, the hump could be attached in what would be the rear light recess area maybe then the extra plate welded on at the bottom just to hide it.
