Have noise, adjusted the tensioner And it's quieter.... but I get a slight Rattle at around 3500 rpm. Gets a little louder when I reduce throttle and goes away. Can I remove the tensioner for inspection with out screwing anything up? Or pulling the engine? 80 XS650 SG. Thanks!

I'm suffering from clutch slippage in top 2 gears around 4-5k rpm then it hooks back up. Sounds like a common occurrence for these old bikes. Upgrading to Barnett discs & springs In my 1980 bike. My question is.... will I be able to pull The clutch lever ? I don't want to waste my time doing...

Hello all... I have a 1980 XS650SG Charging system stopped. Battery is new & holds charge at 12.7 volts. Headlight also comes On at engine start. Checked system at +3k rpm... No chargey chargey! Feeler gauge test side of case... yes it sticks. Bypassed green wire on regulator to ground. Still...
