Ok thankyou very much for the information. I currently do not have a Chain guard on the bike or a front fender. Looking to get the beefiest setup I can without being impractical. Any good websites for xs650 tires!?

Looking for some input on the tires out there for a 1980 xs650. It is a hardtail by the way. I'll have a couple pictures on some ideas I liked below... Also any clue how fat of tires I can ride without it not fitting and or not being practical? Thanks - Bobby

Even if I made a bracket under the rear of the seat and braced the springs from that to somewhere near the rear wheel? I only spent 40 on the springs so really not a big issue. But like I said fabrication isn't a real issue.. Just curious if it's actually ever been done. Functionality isn't huge...

Yeah exactly like that.. But my only complication. Isn't that a soft tail and not a hardtail like mine?

It's tough man..i have a hardtail but something really wants me to have the look of rear shocks just like this picture. Might look goofy to some but I really dig it
