    Charlene is a screamer!

Finally finished and logged a few miles this weekend. Pure joy to ride! Many parts from Mike's, 650 central, Yambits, and Joe wiseguy.Few personal touches and bits from my archive of parts. Did all the wrenching polishing and painting myself, which makes her even more rewarding. 750 big bore...

    morris magneto

Just saw an add in the horse. Morris magneto now made just for the xs650. Sposed to eliminate battery, coil and charging system. I assume only works with points setup. Anybody tried one or have experience running a mag on something else?

my mistress makeover. cafe build 80 Special.

Started out like this...free bike. Bought a seat and a stator and rode it. Gave it a quicky clean up and rode it some more. Started with her rearend..tightened it all up and buffed it out. Stripped and polished the brake mount. All new paint and bushings in the swing arm.

    rear brake disc source

Have twin stock discs up front and the disc rear on my special. Rear disc is grooved and I want to replace it but I'm not finding a stock one or matching sets front and rear. MMM has a nice set but 750$ for 3 discs is a bit rich for the build budget. Is an xs1100 rear disc (yambits) the same...

    What do they sound like?

I haven't had the time to finish my wiring and hear how my cocktail shakers sound on my XS chop. Driving me nuts. I suspect a bit like the cafe I worked on a while ago with short megaphones. Anybody have footage or soundbytes of their 650 exhaust? I'm curious to hear the difference between diff...
