Clear coat, Jim, got your ears on?

It won’t affect a decal. It’s made for this stuff. I should update my thread tomorrow. Good luck to ya!

Clear coat, Jim, got your ears on?

One can will do a tank and tins. Thin coats to prevent runs. Just follow the directions, it’s pretty idiot proof. And don’t rush it. Just put it in the fridge between uses.

It won’t run paint. Trust me, I was skeptical too, but it works a treat. I bought it at a local auto/industrial paint shop for the same price as online.

I did the exact same thing. Not a paper mask, either. You need a proper respirator and goggles. But don’t let that deter you.

Spraymax 2k works great and is fuel proof. Did my tank this way. 3 coats. And if you put it in the fridge when you are done, it will last quite some time. It says you have 48hrs to use, but mine worked after a month.

Tried these pipes out. I think they are Harley slip ons? Sounds great but a bit too loud. Thinking of using stock sportster mufflers.

Don’t you ever wonder what happened?

Happens on other forums too. I am a vintage Subaru enthusiast, and that forum has the EXACT same dynamic that this forum has. It's hilarious. I think it's just human nature. @Mailman, I think you are right when you say people just get ambitious and overwhelmed.

So we got ourselves our first oil leak. I’ll pull the filter housing and see what’s up, then add copper washers to the bolts I suppose.

It lives and breathes! Open pipes until I sort the mufflers out. Using UNI angled pods so they will interfere less with the soon to be made battery box. Gotta say, I LOVE not having to time this thing. Two thumbs up for the TCI so far. Feels pretty dang good to hear that for the first time.

    Hesitation 1980 with TCI

As far as ignition goes, I just want to throw this out there. I bought a key switch brand new only to find out the soldering and wiring was crap. Bike kept dying and couldn’t figure it out. Cut off the insulation and saw this: Bingo! Unsoldered the old wires and re-soldered in new wire...
