I got all my parts from Mike's finally! Got my carbs rebuilt and ready to go. Just need to finish some final welding and start re-assembly! Should be rolling by the end of the week or start of next. :) Finally! Only been working on it since July. :(

As long as your speedo is correct for your XS, you should be able to use the stock cable...

Did some trimming... And even more stuff! Painted my engine all "purdy-like." The case itself, not the jugs or head or anything is this awesome "wrinkle" paint that I picked up from Auto Zone... Shit was like $12 a can! Also picked up a couple of goodies for me...

Thanks! The frame happened by accident. Had the top tubes to the hardtail laying in the scrap pile. Pulled em out and looked at em. Mechanic wired them to the backbone... And there you have it. Haha.

I'm 3-1/2" off the ground, engine in and me on the bike. I can't run a kickstand or a cool low exhaust... My pegs are mounted crazy high. It's going to corner slowly and not be a canyon runner...

Weird. I bought my wheels and tires as is. Both arrows in the forward direction. Interesting that they are advertised that way, tell you to mount another. Meh, if it rides like turds I'll flip it.

I appreciate the offer of the speedo's, they just aren't my cup of tea. And I only have one XS...

Much appreciation. I'm trying to keep the build under $500... The speedo from Mike's won't break me or the bank, just trying to save some loot. $45 isn't that bad when a 20 year old stock speedo is $35.
