I have run mikuni vm34 round slides for years, they are very crude and sometimes the slide gets hung up by engine vacuum and won’t return completely to idle (a common problem). I now use the chinese pwk 34 and they are far superior, no more problems and much easier to tune. Don’t let bias hinder...

Yes off road truck shock boots such as from Rancho, are the only way to go. About $6 come in various colors, last for a decade. I've tried all sorts of motorcycle types and they all fell apart after about a year and some cost over$40.

Thank you for the good information. I once has a high performance VW engine with a very large after market pump .As it turns out the pump just ate up Hp and blew seals. Back with the stock pump, I gained 5Hp and had no more seal problems.
