I'm rebuilding Carbs off a 74' to put on my 82' the older ones have two throttle cables instead of one..what will I need to hook them up?? Sorry about the thread jack..just figured we were one the subject so id ask here...:D

Hey!!! i fixed it!!! it wasnt carb related at all..it was electrical..and an easy fix thanks to the motorcycle gods...lol while tinkerin with it tonight i hooked up my battery charger..i set my hands on the four factory fuses in front of the battery and ii heard a clicking sound coming from...

Well...I pulled the Carbs and gave them a good cleaning..and now its seems ok when I get on it but its back firing out of the left exhaust and popping a lot..it doesn't want to stay idling..and it died once while riding but as soon as I closed the throttle it fired up again while i was still...

As of rite now I don't have a tach..I need a new cable for that to work..lol so I really don't know what its idle is set at..and like I said b4 the 3000 rpm rev limited sound was just a guess..

Voltage is good well as good as it has been battery is brand new and for sum reason won't hold 12 volts but I have a small voltage gauge installed and it says a little under 14 volts just above idle..i cracked the screw open on the carb bowls and there gettin fuel as far as I can tell ( it just...

It's an 81...bored and re-sleeved out to 750cc, high flow mufflers...stock Carbs and ignition.the wierd thing Is iv been riding it daily about 40 miles both ways and its been fine until this morning...

That was my first thought..but I did a little wire job to the solonoid or however u spell it..lol and all it does is clicks..I'm sure I need to get the bars grounded but do I need to replace the solonoid also?? so i just got my bike finished and everything works except the electric start..its been bored and re-sleeved out to 750cc and shaved to raise the compression..the problem is i can barely kick start the dam thing!! i don't know if there's a secret that i don't know about to kick these things but...

Well its been a lot of hard work but i hope it pays off in the end..Two weeks or less and shell b up and running!! Day i got it in the shop.... And how it sits now.. just waiting on new intakes and a set of black drag bars :D let me know what you think!!

So I have three gas tanks..two off of xs's a 77 i believe and the stock 81'...the third is a really small one off of a 78 kawasaki km100 that im thinkin about using bcuz im ordering the visualimpact brat kit and it looks like you cut off the rear tank mount??correct me if im wrong..lol ok nvm...
