This is how we do in France, we bend the kick using an hydraulic press.
But from your picture, I guess it won't be enough.
Don't use "black" radiator hose : it's made of EPDM rubber that doesn't resist to fuel.
Silicone hoses may give better results, or look for some marine engine hoses.
Viton (FKM) can go up to 240°C depending on the grade used.
Silicone is also an option, it can be good up to 250-300°C, but it doesn't like engine oil.
Teflon has a very low COF but its mechanical properties are poor so it won't last very long (poor wear resistance).
As Fredintoon said, better to use somehting like Nylon, Ertalon, ...

Do the calipers touch the spokes ?
On my setup (std wheel + FAZER 600 '00 fork and calipers), it does so I'll need to machine them a bit.

Leslie, I have the same calipers and fork but coming from '00 FZ600 FAZER.
I have spokes wheels and I need to machine the calipers because they do touch the spokes.
