    Clutch thrust rod issues

    Yes, drivechain was a bit loose and, as it's larger than stock, doesn't allow much clearance. That, and the fact that the rod is a light alloy combined to push it far enough off centre so that when the clutch was engaged the rod buckled. Seems it's happened to a few XS race bikes.     Advice needed: What would cause a clutch thrust rod to bend like this? Second time it's happened in as many rides (two rods)! Yes, heavy duty plates/clutch springs and a fairly warm motor, but . . . ? Advice appreciated.
