Welp , looks like I’m heading into to town to grab me a cut off wheel and a step bit. I’ll just drill a hole and run a bolt through.

It looks like it’s just welded on through the back. I’m wondering if this nut will hold it for a while until I can get my hands on a cut off wheel lol

Noticed that my rear shock nut was a little lose, couldn’t have given it more than a SLIGHT tight and the thing just snapped right the hell off. got a nut that matched the threads...does anyone know what kind of work is involved to replace that stud? Or would I be better off cutting it off on...

I do like that alot. How did you manage to mount it up? And how did you cover the old square hole in the fender from the old light?

Got my Texavina seat installed and changed the oil. This seat is so much more comfortable than the stock seat I had. Now time to look for a new brake light, not a fan of the giant red square.

Got the bike all put back together today, went on a little 10 mile ride. About two miles from home it started to jerk when giving it any amount of throttle. Came to a stop and looked down, spark plugs wire on the right hand side had just "fallen" out of the cap. So looks like I'll be replacing...

Got around to getting a new battery, bike runs LEAGUES better. Still need to tinker with the mixture screw and idle screws to get her running good.

A little red neck engineering for a mount. Temporary light set up until I can find the perfect light. Not bad output at all for a cheap lightbar. Going to be mounting another below to act as the "high beams". Edit: does anyone know where I can buy the collar for the tachometer cable? Haven't...

So it's a Relatively warm here in Ohio today, started her up and noticed that A) the left hand cylinder didn't seem to be warming up as quickly as the left and B) I notice this thing *smoking?* After I let it warm up and rode it around the block. It doesn't smell like anything's burning. But...

So for you guys not running typical headlights (without a headlight bucket) how do you hide/keep the wiring safe from the elements? (This setup isn’t permanent, have some brackets being made to hold it currently lol)

Started her up to let her run for a little while today. Left cylinder doesn't seem to be getting nearly as hot as the right. But both plugs are getting good spark....so just slot of headscratching going on here. Also trying to fan up a mount for the 2 6" lightbars I got as a temporary headlight...

I didn't see anything obvious, I'll have to dig into them more and run over them a few times.

So I noticed a piece of the air intake a boot (middle section connecting the two airboxes) had a small chunk missing from coupler, so I'm guessing it's gonna be leaking there. I can't even find what the part is actually called.

Also, noticing these odd *pops* at idle.

Cleaned out my carbs, took apart a leaky petcock and reassembled it. New spark plugs because damnnnnn these 7year old plugs looked like charcoal. Still trying to narrow down why she seems to stall out after riding for 5-10 minutes when coming to a complete stop. Would a dead battery cause...

In regards to this wiring nightmare i am having, are all of these butt connectors factory? Or is this some hackjob my grandpa did years ago? I hate electrical issues because I dont know a damn thing about it. Diagrams look like french to me.

All right then. Time to figure out where it needs to go now lol hopefully it’s all color coded correctly. Might just wait till my Haynes manual comes in.

So this connector came off when I removed my Vetter Quicksilver (shoulda been a tad more careful) Is this needed to attach a factory style headlight? This wiring is giving me a headache just looking at it. This is on my 78’
