Engine and carbs are in. I’m going with K&N style air filters. I’m guessing the two larger hoses coming off the engine are air hoses to the original air boxes? Do I just remove them and cap off the ports?

I'm installing Hugh's CDI system on my bobber and want to mount the regulator on the bottom cross member of the frame. See picture. Is this hollow or solid? I want to drill and tap so I can bolt it in place. If it's solid I'll look for another place.

I'm hooking up the new CDI complete kit from HHB. It's a 78 Special with kickstart only. I'm not great with electrical stuff... Does this system replace/bypass the need for the points that I had on the original setup? There's no mention of what to do with that wiring in the instructions. Thanks.

As soon as I tighten the castle nut even a little, the wheel stops spinning freely. Now I'm not even sure if this set up is even right. I took the hub from a 19" wheel and laced it to a 21" rim. The spacer thing on the disc side (see arrow) remains still when the wheel turns. I pulled this off...

I'm using HHB speedo delete. Do I need to remove that ring with the tabs? It looks like it mates up to the speedo assembly.There's also a little spring type o-ring in there that's just floating around. What do I need to remove in order to use the speedo delete? Thanks.

OK, I've got the new tapered races and bearings installed correctly. I need some guidance in how the upper stem is fastened down with the two spanner nuts. From bottom up I have the upper race, bearing and dust seal. Does the original cap with the stem hole go right on top of the dust seal? I...

I'm swapping the old ball bearing ones for new tapered ones. Does anything need to come out other than the ball bearings? Are those bearing grooves molded into the frame? Do they come out? Thanks.

I have a 78 that I'm about to start disassembling. I'm going to hardtail it with a Voodoo MK21. I plan to leave the engine in while I tack weld the hardtail into place. Is there any particular order that I should follow while taking apart down to the frame? Just take pics and bag and label...
