    wheel whine

I suppose I could try. Not exactly a fan of that. All I know is it started after I changed the tire. I should probably check to see if the speedo cable is seated correctly

    Cheap DIY Electronic Ignition

I think for now I will stick with the current setup seeing as it has been working perfectly without any problems. I still want to give the GM coil a go though. If in the future, I want to experiment with a different setup the gonzo pickup you mentioned seems like a really good alternative so...

    wheel whine

Hello everyone. Getting ready to address an issue that started before I put the bike away last summer and went to college. I changed the front tire last year and since then the front wheel has been whining. I held down the wheel by bolting it to a table through the axle hole because the old tire...

What have you done to your XS today?

Ive been walking past my bike all winter playing ski bum. Now that it's starting to warm up I decided to dust it off and start getting it ready for the spring.

    Right now I'm listening to...

Haven't been on here in a while due to the fact that its harvest season not motorcycle maintenance season. Been listening to some foreign music lately. A lot of Spanish and Japanese mostly.

What have you done to your XS today?

I installed new, stiffer springs as well when I installed new friction plates. I forgot to mention that. I think the pushrod just needs a little adjustment. I have a one piece pushrod that I have yet to try out.

Thanks for alleviating my concerns, yall. I would have liked to see it run at like 220F personally but seeing as its supposed run that hot I guess I'm not that worried. It didn't seem like it was suffering at all being that hot. It ran just fine. Buzz i run oil that says it has friction...

I got it from hieden tuning. Theres no marks on the dipstick to indicate oil level and its also not as long as the stock dipstick. Its short by about like 3/16th of an inch.

What have you done to your XS today?

Took it for a 30 minute ride today to see how hot the bike gets and this was the result: 115C at its highest which is 239F. Kinda makes me want to install an oil cooler. It took a long time to get that hot and then the clutch started to slip a bit. Other than that it was a nice ride.

What have you done to your XS today?

Finally changed the choke gaskests and that helped significantly. The left carb still sounds to be running a bit lean. What motivated me to finally do this was my friend who finally got his 75 on the road yesterday. Unfortunately tho we didn't get to ride very far because a mile down the road...

Yuh know if I thought about it before hand, I would have started a build thread. This thread here is the communal build thread for people without individual build threads. Its too late to turn back now

What have you done to your XS today?

To further procrastinate working on my carbs and fitting the huge GM coil, I decided to remove all the modules I dont need like the RLU, Light Checker, and Turn Signal Cancel Unit. I cut the connectors off to hide the wires under the harness and for the RLU I just used a butt connector instead...

What have you done to your XS today?

Idk ordered it like 3 months ago from the website. I also haven't ran the bike in a while because I'm doing some things to the ignition system and relocating and getting rid of unnecessary electronics. Ive also been working on the carbs still.
