    Breather plate left out.

    I've just put a new head on my xs and found I haven't put this bit (breather plate) in the lower part. Do I need to take it off again or is it OK without it? He asks hopefully... Old Head in pics for part location.

    Head model ID by stamped numbers

    The 2 piece head has two matching numbers as I think that they are line bored as a pair. We are trying to ID some heads and I guess you can tell what model heads come from by what numbers are stamped upon them. Mainly trying to ID replacement 1972 heads for engine number s650 129 120. Greg
