Has anyone used an NWT X-21 wiring module on their bike? I'm deciding what to use on the new project. I used a Motogadget M unit on the cafe racer & am trying not to spend that much again.

I used to run them on my GSX11 outfit until I got sick of replacing bits. Best setup I used was OE GSX plate/pick-ups & Ignitech programable. Should fit the GS.

Started building the new project today. Fitted XS750 gears to 3rd & 5th gears with stronger dogs. Next is building the crank.

So, I have acquired a Long Rod conversion kit, 80mm Ross pistons, CR500 rods with gudgeon bushings fitted & crank pins with bearings. I've pulled down the 1978 engine I got last week to prepare for building it & ordering stuff as I go along. Plan is to re-sleeve barrels for the pistons...

And one of the clutch basket fingers is snapped off. Gearbox & selectors are nice though.

Isn't it fun pulling down an engine that has been 'REBUILT'! Cam chain re-riveted so tight it struggled to turn. All of the clutch spring screws heads stripped. More sealant than a silicone factory everywhere. Cam chain runner separated. Bolts & nuts either loose or way too tight. Lucky it...

Just enquired about sending to Oz & they won't send anything here! WTF?

Pulled the motor out today. Supposed to have been rebuilt & looks like it has but not properly. Front camchain guide is separated & the washer in the tensioner is missing. Pulling it apart to do a few mods & build a tracker I think.

Picked this up today. Going to keep front end, wheels, engine & carbs. The rest will be sold or swapped for stuff I want.

Mine run fine. Did you order them to suit XS650? If so, Tom usually gets them close apart from the main jet. What specs/jets are in yours?

Malcolm was at our warehouse last Friday, he's a good mate of my boss. He worked in Europe as a motorsport engineer for some well known teams.
