Custom Innovate exhaust clamp for tuning

Its been a long time since I posted here as I have been playing around with some other bikes. But I just got the old 76 Yamaha XS650 out of the barn and decided to throw it on our custom tuner and thought some others would benefit from building a custom exhaust clamp. We have a regular exhaust...

    Is a 1972 a bad idea for a beginner?

Do you like to working on bikes? The first question I ask guys when they want an old bike or think they want to build a bike is “Do you like to work on bikes, or do you like to ride them?” Usually guys want to ride a bike that is unique. If you aren’t interested in trouble shooting problems and...

Ideas? To use 2 post hoist for bikes

This is not a bad idea. The hoist I have is in the link below it’s a typical 2 post hoist so the arms are extendable and can be configured for almost any width. As soon as I read this I pictured a chock on each arm to hold the wheels but a section of U-channel in between that could be pulled out...

Ideas? To use 2 post hoist for bikes

Need some help brainstorming this new "farkle"for the shop. Not sure if I can use "farkle"here but I digress. I currently have a 1000lbs lift table in the shop and a large 2 post 7 ton hoist. The motorcycle lift table seems to always be in the way and has become a great spot for me to pile up...

first ride EVER. and it sucked. calling all tuners!

If you are new to the carb tuning game you can save a lot of headaches by just buying a wideband O2 Sensor. I bought two of the Innovate MTX-L kits and love them. I have them off the bike so I can use them on all of my projects. You literally just need to supply them with some power and screw...

so that's what you guys we're talking about...

Whenever I buy something used the first thing I do is go through it. Bought a "new to me" KTM lately and didn't bother to go through the bike. I just started riding it and for weeks I felt concerned about what I didn't know. I finally went through the thing and I have a lot more piece of mind...

I seem to be the guy that ends up with all the stuff other people can't fix. And I LOVE it. It doesn't help that I have a few acres of space to store it all. Currently 1976 XS650 1979 IT250 1981 IT175 20?? Kids 50 cc 2005 KTM Adventure S

    Any Dirtbike guys?

Well here comes the same old story. I got busy with things and these bikes sat for a while. In the meantime I've been playing on the XS650 and picked up a 05 KTM Adventure S. I tore into both bikes and the 250 will get sold as it's more work and CC than I want for the boys. The 175 is in...

    Need tuning advice

Also you may want to rule out the battery or charging components. I learned the hard way after weeks / months of tinkering that I had a crap battery. Does it run better if you have a charger on that battery?

    removing powdercoating

I used to work at an industrial coating shop and if we had parts come in that were already coated we always burned it off in an oven and then sandblasted. The only other thing you could try is to soften it using MEK thinner first.

I have a couple old Yamaha dirt bikes that I am going through and wondering if you guys have any suggestions on a good place to find and order the parts? The bikes are in good shape but just need a little TLC. '79 IT250 '81 IT175

    O2 sensors and a crossover

After a bunch of shipping errors I ended up with 2 free Innovative MTX-L air/fuel gauges that I am going to install for a bit on the bike. I'm also thinking of putting a crossover on the pipes but have a few questions first. http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php 1) Should I...
