    Hughs, and the bike Beau posted are pretty much what I'm looking to do when I find my XS... finding one that's not an 8 hour drive or over priced seems a bit more difficult than I anticipated right now... Once I have it though I plan on something very similar to these.

    Paint - what's the best process

    I'm no expert but have to think that get the most real estate painted first is the easiest so #2 in my mind would be best. Without assuming too much anyway, it could change depending on the type of color, candy, pearl, satin, etc. But for a straight gloss black gloss silver, that should work.

    This was my thinking too. Why risk a "flush" now and then in a few months find that you've had shavings in all the little areas of your engine wearing away at things that if they fail the engine may not be salvagable... why? "Flushing it" out to me is just half assing it. The engines out...

    This right here! Don't take a chance if you have any feeling that the bottom may be in need as well. Go ahead a do the top and bottom and heck you mentioned it why not go ahead and do a 750 kit if you've been thinking about it.

    Actually not a bad idea... I'm not sure how hot the electrics would get on their own but if you had something like this it would help I'd think.
