    ok..well the tube size im using is a perfect snug fit to the barb, sooo, ill go with auto trans fluid instead of thin injector cleaner...bang a jet down each end close to the barbs to rescrict air flow & see what happens??? lesser vacuum & heavier oil grade. will report back.

    fuel injector cleaner is what i used and yes it was very thin...my first attempt was some 'small engine' oil i had which was red but so thick it didnt settle it the tube and couldnt get rid of air pockets.

    racerdave, gday! no thats the step i missed, i did not use a dampener...dont quite get that bit. Brian902 says hes used spare jets but im not seeing how they dont just fall to the bottom of the clear tubing and therefor becoming useless?? i really want to sync these things n go for a ride...

    hello all so as the title says i had a loss today but also a big win in firing my bike up. i put together a manometer copy of pic below, im running brand new vm34s from 650central & think syncing is a must. the 34s i have have the vacuum barbs on the body of the carb not on the ruber manifolds...

    just bought an xs650...could select gears, now cant.

    The reason i want to engage a gear ANY gear is so i can tighten up the retaining nut of the sparx PMA i have installed....cannot run bike with loose... i was going to get it in gear, have sum1 sit on it with brake on & tighten that sucker up...im stuck for another way to lock up the engine. cheers
