Any Kenny Roberts yellow colour schemes on their XS?

It’s not overly comfy but I made the pad and used a medium density memory foam and I wish I had used a softer urethane foam. It’s great to sit on but it does not absorb impacts well.

Randy Thistle at Goopher Glass can get you hooked up. Hell of a good guy too.

Any Kenny Roberts yellow colour schemes on their XS?

Here are my last four builds in KR yellow! two XS650/750, one TT500 trackmaster and my latest 1970 R5 350 twin.

    High ratio primary gears

It does look great. I’ll have to look around for one! Thanks

    High ratio primary gears

That’s the way I feel too. I’ve built a bunch of trackers and love them but I’m trying for something a bit more mountain road worthy this time. How much did you have to do to the yzf600r swingarm to get it on? Is the pivot width the same?

    High ratio primary gears

I have a couple radian swingarms but I haven’t bolted one up to see how the monoshock setup clears. I may have to relocate the cross brace rearward to clear the shock. Im thinking of locating it above the swingarm possibly. The R6 has done it both ways over the years.

    High ratio primary gears

Your build looks great! What is that swingarm and suspension off of? That looks tall enough to give chain clearance problems even at 36T! I love the look though. that’s great info. How did the gearing feel and did you go to a 18 front? 520 or 530 chain?

    High ratio primary gears

I am looking for a set of high ratio primary gears for an upcoming road racer project. I emailed Ivan Hoey down under and it sounds like he has some in the works but may be a while before they are ready. It dawned on me that I may not be the only Packrat in the group so if anyone has a set...

    Tire Balancing

Depending on the bearings you get you may need to pop the rubber seals off and clean the heavy grease out and lightly lube with light oil. Otherwise the bearing drag will make it less sensitive.

    Wanted - BOYER SETUP

Hey Timbeck, I'm sort of a nervous type when it comes to magic electronics and their sensitivity to outside interference but when you install that system I would strongly suggest that you don't tie wrap the brains of that Boyer to the extremely high tension coil pack! If it were me I would try...

Sold / Found / Inactive - 33T rear sprocket for ‘76 XS with 520 chain

I also learned recently that a 50 pitch sprocket from McMaster Carr, Tractor Supply or any industrial supply is almost identical in widths to a 530 at .343 wide. The pitch is the same. This may be helpful for anyone doing s wheel swap where you have to make a sprocket. Usually the 50 pitch have...

Sold / Found / Inactive - 33T rear sprocket for ‘76 XS with 520 chain

I’ve ground some 530s to 520 width at the teeth and they have worked great. Doing the front is easy in a drill press and angle grinder. The rear needs a lathe or do it mounted on the wheel in a truing stand. It’s only getting .125 narrower and goes quicker than you would think. Nice thing is you...

How Wide Of A Tunnel - Tank Question

Ive not ever run without the top mount but have had clearance issues with fiberglass flat track tanks. My solution was to countersink one side of the mount to use flat head screws and to weld T-Nuts into the other side. Seems like it is just the nuts and bolts that are the problem usually.

    '76 XS650C Build / tracker-scrambler / Need help/ Newbie with xs650

Hughs hand built has the best permanent magnet setup. They are one of the few that can deal with a lithium battery.

    '76 XS650C Build / tracker-scrambler / Need help/ Newbie with xs650

With that Boyer in there already I'd swap the alternator for a permanent magnet one. If you are wanting to run Lithium ion you need a special regulator that adds a bit of money but not crazy.

    '74 RD350. Yeah... I know....

It is still in the 4 boxes it came in at the moment! Another fella hauled it all the way from Florida and only got as far as tearing it apart. It had been in pretty good shape looks like and he had a bunch of good stuff to go with it like fork seals and gaskets and stainless case bolt set...

    XS 650/750 Flat side carbs

I've run both VM34s and VM36s in 750 kitted bikes but never flat slides. The 34s worked best for everything but very top end and very easy to set up. The 36s are harder to get to respond at lower RPM. I was thinking about doing VM36s with UFOs in them on my current build to see if it helps...

Thanks! and pardon the hiJack. may take me a while to figure out the proper posting and etiquette! I bought the R5 as a rotted out barn find and since it was so horrible I couldn't do a restoration. I had some tracker parts already so I thought Why Not? it got a new crank and top end and...

    Radian Swing Arm

I second that. Jerry is a hell of a good guy too. He and his daughter were always a big help to me when I was racing AHRMA flat track.
