Bought a couple of air filters shown in attached pic. I'm a little confused as to whether they should be oiled as the manual says coat in 10/30 then squeeze the oil out, however, as the filter material on these replacements doesn't look like it can be removed I'm worried that I'll end up with...
This is the one I had back in the 80's...had to sell it after 15 years due to the usual, baby, mortgage rate rocketing, cut backs at work etc. Must say I'm missing the twin discs though, in spite of replacing the master cylinder, lines, caliper, pads ( all new) and deglazing the disc....braking...
Standard XS650B imported to UK from USA with15k miles on the clock. Needed new front caliper, brake lines, master cylinder, carb kit with new standard jets, air filters, i.e., the usual.
Just ordered a couple of side panel securing knobs and might fit barbs to the inlet rubbers to aid set up.
Stripped, cleaned and rebuilt my bs38 carbs, looking at the dead cylinder method of setting up same and I don't see any mention of the fact that there are two throttle cables. I get the setting of tick over/ air fuel ratio but what is the best method to balance the throttle cables? Obviously if...
