    Any differences in Canadian models??

It was set in the middle when I got it, but like I said I can't say that was the original position.

    Any differences in Canadian models??

My experience from tearing apart my (Canadian) carbs is that all the other jets were the same sizes as the specs for the US models. But at 30 yrs old, who knows if that was stock.

Heiden Dyno Tune Needle & Jet Kit

I've tried them and they gave me no end of problems. I ended up taking them out and using a set of Canadian needles and needle jets.

Recommend me a decent bar end mirror....

http://www.oberon-performance.com/acatalog/Oberon_Streetfighter_Bar_End_Mirrors.html These are supposed to be pretty good, but I haven't tried them personally.

    Canadian needles

The CDN needles work great. In all honesty I put John's needles in my bike and had no end of trouble getting the bike to work. I went back to the CDN needles and haven't had any issues since. I had intended to get in touch with xsjohn to troubleshoot the issues I was having with his needles...

    Canadian needles

Actually, if they have adjustment grooves they should be the CDN needles. I don't think the US needles were adjustable.

    Canadian needles

Where are you in Toronto? May be easiest to compare them directly to a known set. I've got the CDN needles in my XS.

    Friday the 13th

Me and 2 friends with XS's rode down to the last PD13. We weren't planning to go to the one in May, but if there is crew of XS's going maybe we will?

    Mikes keihin carb kit

Have you got the little baffles like these? If so, you might want to try pushing a 1/4 inch steel rod down the middle of them to open them up a bit. A local builder here uses them and opens them up just a bit and has found they sound better and work better.

    MikesXS 2 into 1 Exhaust

I have these pipes with a supertrapp megaphone, sounds and looks great. For a short time I had the Mac 2-into-1 installed and I hated it. Besides being too quiet, the Mac sounded tinny and would drag around corners. I've had no problems with the Mikes 2-into-1 dragging.

So what's the trick to keep the license plate from cracking?

I don't have any pics at the moment, but basically we just grabbed some heavy plate scrap from a welding shop next door and cut and welded together a bracket. Drilled a couple of holes for the plate bolts, light bolts, and the axle and then bolted it all up after giving it a quick rattle can...

You gotta check this source for accessories

They are a great bunch from what I hear. They hang out on another board I frequent dotheton.com.

    TX's Restomod thread.

Well that explains the snow, and kills the idea of a simple swap.

    TX's Restomod thread.

CDNTX650 where are you located? If you're near Toronto I may know of a spare frame and the owner of said frame is thinking of re-doing his harness.

So what's the trick to keep the license plate from cracking?

I switched to an axle/sidemount plate with 3 corners of the plate bolted down. The 4th corner was already broken off anyway

How to fit a sportbike front end to a xs650 frame?

You can make just about anything work, but what needs to be done and how difficult it is will vary from forks to forks. I've got a ZX7 front end on mine and it wasn't too bad to do, just a bit of machining and it went together nicely. There is a full thread on here with details on different...

    Any differences in Canadian models??

Yes, the Canadian BS34 needles are adjustable. Not sure if the profile is different, but I think it probably is.
