    So axle should be the same. I'm pretty sure the axle wouldn't fit in the spare set of forks. How about the necks, are the spindles all the same?

    I will grab some pictures tonight. Things I noticed: -Lower triple bolts, one has 2 bolts each side where the other only has 1 each side. -handle bar risers, one set has a larger rubber bottom bushing than the other.

    I bought a box of parts and I'm looking to indentify some of them. Mainly so I know what rebuild parts to purchase. Frame is a 1980 xs650 2 sets of forks. Look similar, yet slightly different. How many different types of forks are there?

    Maxim wheels on XS?

    Ya I'd rather not change forks and order smaller plates just for a set of wheels. I don't mind buying bearings for front if that's the fix. Rear tho, has to be another way.. Damn I was pumped to run these. Yes they are the directional double spoke mag wheels.

    77 Yamaha XS650 frame-forks/TC bros hardtail. ..No brakes, just a bare frame at the moment. 81 or 82 yamaha maxim 550 'chain drive' wheels says the guy i may purchase them off of. 19 front, 16 rear Question is, will they fit the XS? if so what mods will be needed if any?
