Thanks 5twins !!! I have to get the rubber seal from carb to airbox. I would go with the uni mounts but don't want to play with jetting right now.

I got this bike fore free and it hasn't run for 20 years. I got it home at 3pm and had it running by 7 pm! I had to set points and found left carb out. And lots of time getting her shined up!

When you change your stock air filters to k&n what do you do with the rubber hoses from top of engine that connect to stock air filter boxes?

I have a 79 special and serial numer is 477-912xxx which doesn't come up other in chart saying AUS So is this bike from Australia ? I'm ordering seat cover and they change in these years . Thanks for any info
