Think I've just about got these XS650 carburetors dialed in!

That stands for Bull Sh!t 38's. Going to tear the pieces down to try to find the issue with them...

I noticed today when I got home that my bike wouldn't roll backwards in gear with the clutch disengaged and engine running...... Rolls fine in neutral though or in gear without engine running?????? :confused: Any thoughts?????

I found out what happens when...... you leave the key on all night! I need to put a idiot light or buzzer on the bike I guess, because some idiot left the key on.....:doh: I put it on the charger, we'll see how it turns out... The last time this happen the battery never did recover.... I should...

This has happen a few times with my bike... This seems to happen when I'm starting or just cracking the throttle. I was thinking that I had to much timing but it looks good. So then I thinking it may be lean, but it actually smells a little on the fat side... I guess the next thing is to speed...

Anyone here know how to ID carburetors... My bike has, I'm pretty sure Mikuni BS38's on it, but they each have a different linkage arm where the cables connect... I'm thinking that it may have two different year model carburetors on it.... Where would the numbers be on these to ID them? What is...

My carbs are set up for dual cables... What are you using? I'm wanting to get rid of the stock handle bar controls... What do you got? :shrug:

I got this bike over a year ago and just kept going back and forth about cutting it up. Well today I started. I will probably be crying in my pillow tonight when I think about it.....

Had a bad fuse block on my 1975 xs650.... Got to looking a schematics and seen that 75's only show a fuse on the main wire.... My bike has a fuse block with 4 fuses... I think that the wiring harness may be from a different year... The wire colors are red (main) red/white, brown, and...

When the engine is idling it is a nice steady idle then its like it quits running for a split second and then idles fine again for a few seconds and then it does it again.... I also does this some times right when I take off from a stop. Its like some one turns the key off and back on really...

wanting to go to a 30 tooth back sprocket... how much shorter should I go on the chain length? 75 xs650.. I think the stock chain is 104.. Maybe a 102? :confused:

Metal! I didn't see any on the plug magnet but found it in the second filter.... Oil pump? :(

I decided to make one because of the cost... Things are high!.... I should only have about 30 to 40 bucks in this when done.. Most of the materials was dug out of a scrap bin.... I'm recycling, doing my part.. :D

Was gonna ride the bike this morning... Fired it up and let run a while, all was good till I turned the headlight on.. Engine just died... Won't fire up with the headlight on but when it's off it runs fine..... brake lights all function fine.. Anybody had this issue before.. I'm sure I'll find a...
