    For Sale - 1980 XS650 Hardtail PMA/Pamco/Sparx nice bike

First off, I did not build this bike, it came to me in trade. I did a few minor things to it, but it is as the previous owner built it, and very much still "his" bike which I've had less than a week. It was pretty clear when we made the trade that I would be selling the bike. That said, it's...

For Sale - DNA springer black and chrome $325 shipped

You'd have to grind them off... wouldn't be that tricky, just need to take your time with it. I was thinking to do the same if I were to keep it. I do still have it and I'll do $300 shipped if you pay via paypal as a "gift"

fabbed a mirror/bracket today and thought I'd share. A lot of bikes from Japan have mounts like this... it's a great way to have a usable mirror without resorting to a bar end. I kinda dig it. Nevermind the broken lever..... I have a spare.

    Why Install a Hardtail? O.o?

My Geritol comment was pretty tongue in cheek... The knowledge base here is tremendous and folks don't become experts over night so we are all fortunate to be in such company. Moreso the closedmindedness of some folks is disheartening. A stripped down, well sorted hard tail is a blast to ride...

    Low compression

Was it running before? what conditions did you do the compression test? A little history of the bike and what led you to this would be helpful. :)

Clutch issues on 75 xs650 hard to shift when warmed

I would start by doing a clutch adjustment when the motor is warmed up and go from there.

    Let's See The XS's

Hey Johann Yeah. I have a few bikes I will never sell, but often pick up projects and non-runners like this one to complete and sell to help me buy new tools, new/bigger projects, that sort of stuff. For me, the only way to make any money with bikes is to flip them quickly and I enjoy it.

bike runs fine then stutters and dies

pull your battery and take it to an automotive parts store like advance/pep boys and they should be able to load test it for you. Should be a free service.
