Putting a rear 18' shouldered alum rim on front -

I've got a shouldered alum 18" rear wheel with rusted hub and spokes, going to cut them off and lace them up to a xs2 (I believe it is) front hub. I think it's xs2 because it has the separate rotor / mount on the front hub. My final product is going to have matching 18's in front and back...

    Feedback for wes63bug

I have a receipt via paypal for reimbursement from wes63bug for the total amount. My recommendation to anyone is don't take money for something that's not yours to sell, for whatever reason.

How do you react when someone almost kills you?

Depends on how close to almost killing you they come. The closes I have ever come to being almost killed I was pretty stunned. I was so glad to be alive I didn't care about the other guy.

Piston seized, Pics inside, what do you think?

Yeah, not what I suggested. Phosphoric acid in solution, immerse for 45 minutes. No abrasion. I never suggested using naval jelly. Not to sound too harsh but you can either use the right tool, or risk doing harm.

    My Forward controls FAIL

sure you could do a push setup, but not with that rod. you need something that will not compress or flex. At that distance, you're not going to find a lot of materials that will cooperate that well. Another option - salvage some 10-speed gear hubs and make a pair of gears linked with some...

Piston seized, Pics inside, what do you think?

Phosphoric acid is very mild. How I did it was filled up a bucket with 5:1 solution (a homer bucket etc.) and shoved the heads in it. It'll fizz up. The acid really is very mild (They put phosphoric acid in soda to give it a bite). Use eye protection rated for liquids (home depot) and a...

Piston seized, Pics inside, what do you think?

he needs to remove the rust before attempting to hone or bore, the rust is an abrasive and will come off and abrade it further. phosphoric acid -> observation -> take steps as required I agree with mouser that the steps are probably a flex hone - but that'll depend on how much material you've...

a question about electrical switch ratings

Also, if you marginally exceed a switches rated specs it will not fail right away - depending on how you exceed it. What generally happens is that the contacts arc, and the switch starts to introduce voltage drop via resistance and poor contact. This may not even be outwardly obvious, but...

    My Forward controls FAIL

Well, here's the problem as I see it. The arms both being short means that force is being transferred from one arm to another with very little motion but a lot of effort. That low-leverage situation is compounded by the incorrected linkage being used. That linkage is intended for expansion...

    My Forward controls FAIL

looks to me like you could flip both the control arms 180 so that you were pulling the rear lever. Also, you may want a longer arm on the rear lever. your rod has very little leverage or opportunity to rotate there, and as it rotates forward, your mechanical effort becomes less and less...
