    No bluing, I took the motor apart, and the rollers are all scored on the one center bearing, so bad that they fell out of the cage on their own. I think the pump is good because the oil was spraying off the valve covers . The crazy thing is that all other 3 bearings and the big ROD ends feel good.

    Thanks Rush2112, Yes lubrication is good and the cases align perfect .This center bearings have a locating pin, so location and lubrication holes can only go in one way. I wish we could still get the OEM bearings. maybe I can find a good used crank nearby :shrug: xsfanman

    Is my rotor done?

    Not really, I just installed Hugh's PMA and it charges great at idle. only 1000 RPM's. I was able to change my headlight to a 55 watt and with my electric heated vest It kept the battery perfectly charged and I perfectly warm. This spring I will put it to the real test :D

    1977 XS Top End Project Mikes XS 650 replacement

    motorshag that is the wire that supplies power to your starter motor. goes from the starter terminal to the starter solenoid.(under the right right side cover).
