Pictures of mag wheels on bobbers

Yes, I had my tires put on via tire machine and even after sitting for several months and hardening, the machine marked the mags.. nothing you can see from any distance but up close you might see it. With paint, you can at least do touch ups... powder has to be ground off and rebaked.. pain in...

Just a bit of fun: What is the origin of your user name?

Hamish is James in Galic.. My mechanic pinned the HighSpeedHamish on me after the owner called me Hamish one day. The highspeed portion came from racing bikes in the mid-late 90s.. I always had the wrong bike for the track (RZ350s), speed but no torque. My modified R1 keeps up with that...

    oil filter

Oh ya.. worked well. The crank was really fine (bearings) but got rebuilt anyways. (Hey its apart right?) I think the majority of those shavings are from the tappets and valves (also replaced) because like the crank, everything else didnt really look worn.

    Mac Exhaust bafflectomy.

All Mac headers seem to have the same internal baffle inside the muffler portion. I have a CM400T (cafe) and my XS both with Mac Exhaust. Not only is the muffler the same dimensions the baffles are almost identical also with the CM400s having smaller internal pipes vs the XS. I had a baffle...

New To the Site. Engine Cleaning?

Degrease it first. Seal off all open spots, ie: intake, exhaust, breather etc. Stick entire engine in Glass Bead cabinet (mine had a spinning pedestal inside) and blast your way to a new engine.

Why Did You Choose An XS650

I never understand why some people hate other people for riding things they claim to hate... Water bottles thrown at ya? wtf. I ride a BWS Yamaha (Known as the Zuma in the US) around town because its cheap like potatoes to run and has 20 liters of storage under the seat but I never get any...
