    How it happened: I was sitting still shifting through the gears on a new bike, put it into 1st and slowly released the stiff-ass clutch when it seemed "clunk" into a different gear. Now it's stuck in gear and the clutch won't engage. At this point I would like to either alienate the issue...

    Pre-1977 Post-1978 xs650 model changes?

    The post 1978 models look as if they lean back. Anyone know if the frame is different? Shocks mounted in different position/angle? Or are the rear shocks simply shorter? Forks taller? I wish I had the two compare in front me but I can only judge from pics on the web. Links removed
