I tried to find some, but had no luck. Basically the front plate was pounded over a MDF form and beat into shape.

No issues so far.

I know this is digging up an old thread, but I am thinking of deleteing the base gasket and I've heard the reference to indexing the cam. I haven't had any luck finding exactly how to do this. Any help?
