Rat650, not sure if it's your case but its normal for brake pads to move slightly in the caliper. Even new bikes will do exactly what you're explaining; the wheel moves just slightly and there's a clunk sound. You may want to check the caliper area foe the noise...totally normal.

Great looking bike! I'm building something pretty similar and I'm curious how you handled all the wiring and components (reg, rectifier, flasher relay, fues box, etc...) I tore into mine and was shocked with the giant rats nest of stuff I've gotta find a place to hide.

I just went to the garage to see what kind of shape the one off the parts doner bike I bought is, and its amazingly nice considering how dirty the rest of the bike is! 36 spoke, no major rust or dents. I can send it to you for $25 shipped (in the US). I have pics. PM me if you're interested.
