I think you're right. Did you replace the stock TSCU with one that will work for LEDs?

Weird...I have no explanation for that, unless it has to do with the low draw of the LEDs. Have you tried experimenting with whether that still happens if you use traditional incandescent bulbs?

Just put the 45-LED Tower from SuperBrightLEDs.com in all four of my turn signals. Wow. Expensive, but worth the money if you're looking for good visibility and low current draw.
