Decompression valve on late model XS650s for kickstart
Has anyone put a decompression valve on a late model XS650 ('81) to use with a kickstart only? I know that the set up was originally for the electric start, but I have used other (mainly dirt bike) engines that used decompression valves for kickstart and it made it a snap. Kickstart kicks back troubleshoot
So I have a 1981 XS650. It has a Hugh's stator, pamco ignition, kick-start only and straight pipes with thoroughly made baffles. I am going to re-gear it with 18/30 to lower vibes on the freeway and then dyno test/ tune it. The problem I am having now is that about every third kick the...- davidcharles
