Not a XS, but here's my kz440.

Taking advantage of this warm spell and riding my bike.

That bike is definitely saveable, it doesn't have to be pristine you could make a nice rider out of it. You can find a lot of the parts like forks, gauges, and exhaust on ebay or repro.

It's a Special II. The frame isn't much different, the rear peg brackets are different and the angle of the rear shocks. A standard tank will fit, and a standard seat will fit if you buy one with the brackets and hook on it. The side covers are also different.

Thanks I sanded with 400 grit 2 coats of Rustoleum grey automotive primer 5 coats of Krylon gloss black 3 coats of Spray Max clear It went ok, but I had a reaction of some kind after I put the clear on so I had to compound it a lot, and that made it a little dull. I'd say a wax...

Is it awful? I think I did a pretty nice job considering it's spray cans.

Before: After: Gloss black with Spray Max clear, it's not perfect but it's decent.

Didn't someone put a kz750 rear wheel on their xs650?
