Kicker is not turning the cylinders. Have I screwed something up?

Hi Pnedac, I had the same experience with my replacement gear I got from Mikes. My starter went from kind of working to not working at all with the new gear. The solution for me was a combination of tightening the spring and polishing the teeth inside of the new gear so it would slide...

No mark on top piston ring

Hi everyone, Beginning my top end assembly today. The new rings I got from Cruzinimage do not have a mark on the top ring. The second ring has a mark, but nothing on the top. The old top ring has a very clear "RN". Anybody have any ideas on how to tell which way is correct? Does it...

    National cycle Flyscreen

There is one in my JP Cycles catalog that looks identical. Part number 750-492 for light tint and 750-493 for dark tint. Those are JP part numbers, but it's a National Cycle flyscreen. Kind of expensive. Over $150.

    5th gear overdrive install

To those of you that have successfully completed this swap, are you happy with the upgrade and would you do it again? I have my cases apart now and just can't decide if I would be better off with this or just dropping down a tooth or two on the rear sprocket. At least that way if I don't like...

    God what a change

Cool lookin car. I found this link for the rat rod show. It's called the Port City Rumble. It's not huge, but it's a fun time. I think they have a Facebook page too. http://www.wilmingtonandbeaches.com/events-calendar/port-city-rumble/

    Heritage Rat Resto Re-assemble

Well found the source of my compression woes. The valve seats look pretty nasty. There's a shop up the road I've used before that can fix them up. He'll grind the valves and fix up the seats. Reasonable too. Probably 50 bucks for the whole thing. Not worth me messing with. I'll supply...

    right side filter cover removal

Hey Royboy- The wife and I are both from G.R. Although I'm a Greenway guy myself. Gods country up there. We have some property up there and family. I'm hoping to start building a nice garage up there this summer. Not sure we'll ever give up the winters down here though. Waaayy to easy to take.

    God what a change

Mines pretty much stock. I tore the engine out last night, it makes some noises I don't like and the compression is low. I'm planning to tear into it this evening. What I find inside will dictate what it ends up being. If I have to split the cases, I may go for a re-phase. We'll see. I...

    right side filter cover removal

Maybe insert a drill bit or rod that will just fit into each hole. You could then squeeze them together with one hand forming a handle. Hopefully you can wiggle it out without touching the outside surfaces. Just an idea I have used in similar situations.

A perfect set up for melting a few sets of tires.... If you haven't been and you have older mechanics the aquarium at Ft. Fisher is really cool. Highly recommended even for adults. The ferry ride is nice too. And free if I remember right. (the ferry) I'll leave you to your visit. Enjoy!!

Check out the downtown Wilmington area if you get a chance. Very historic and beautiful. Night life is great down there. Lots of small bars and restaurants. All within walking distance. Fun on the weekends. Carolina Beach boardwalk is lots of fun too!
