I ask because I'm thinking of using an oddball bearing to match a wheel and swing arm but I can't find a seal for it. Does the bearing's rubber seal do a good enough job?

Why are the the rear bearings different sizes? The axle is obviously the same size at both ends, so why the bigger bearing at one end?
