If a new company broke into the market?

Re: Cafe Frames - I'd like to see someone come in with a frame that had a little less rake than stock, and clean up the area behind the carbs completely. Leave dual rear shocks for the classic look, but completely get rid of anything that would take away from a totally open and clean look...

If a new company broke into the market?

How about something other than choppers ? Cafe's and Trackers would be a nice change of pace. I also agree about the METAL tanks.

Wanted - XS650B Rear Blinker Brackets

Ah - not sure that those are the correct ones. The ones for an 650B are bolted on, not welded in any way.

    Side cover torque requirement? HELP!!!

Check this out: http://thexscafedotcom.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/xs650-torque-settings/ While it doesn't specify each and every bolt - use the sizing guide at the bottom.

Wanted - XS650B Rear Blinker Brackets

Yep. Unfortunately my bike did not have them, so I cannot supply a photo....But my understanding is they kinda look like a 'Z' from the top. One side bolts to the blinker stem, and the other bolts to the fender bolt (which goes from the inside of the rear fender and through the frame).

Thanks - but to be clear I don't need the blinker, just the little bracket that it bolts to.

    Anyone try Xenon HID headlight?

Here's one thing to keep on mind w/HID's - In order to get the best use out of them (and not to blind others on the road), you really should be using them in a projector. There's a bunch made for 7-8" round headlights, so should be relatively easy. That being said - I've been looking at the...

    Polishing question with pictures

Good luck.....I had the same issue and just bought others and buffed them up. Problem is you can't really beadblast it off - you'll wind up just pushing the copper plate around. You can try to sand it, but then you risk going too deep.

Hey man - Can't help ya with the pistons - but on the oil pump you can check it's clearances pretty easily. The process is outlined in the clymer and here: http://thexscafedotcom.wordpress.com/2011/01/16/xs650-oil-pump/
