    yea it sound lean on the pilot circuit or sync is off i wouldn't re jet i would first pull all the jets out and clean them thoroughly then set the float and install inline filters once its running syn the carbs and set idle mix screws if you still have a problem once this all of this is done...

    pull the carbs off sync them with your eyes put em back on and then sync them by exhaust sound no more than 1/8 of a turn and this should get you really close remember that the idle mix screws can provide different amounts of fuel with the same setting so if there both 1 1/2 turns out that...

    rev it a bit like 3k ish when you check it you need between 13.8 and 14.5 ish volts to properly charge your battery no more than 14.9 or you can cook the battery:thumbsup:

    vacuum leak or you sync is off....and if it never starts with choke on then your probably to rich at idle or the jets that feed the choke are plugged

    if its charging good its probably a carb problem it sounds like its to lean to me...who did your carb work? and are they used to working on these? they can be extremely finicky especially float height, sync, vacuum leaks, and mix screws

    check for ignition problems first i had the same problem with my 81 after replacing the rotor....the radioshack magnet and jb weld did the trick im thinking its the pick up...i would take a pice of copper wire and stick it in the spark plug wire and make a small gap to the plug start it up and...

    i think its the coil because the plugs are fouling before they are visually fouling and are doing so very quickly unless your plugs are very sooty dont change the jetting yet
