Not much, as in a few grand but not 10 grand. FYI, its a G&L Hardtail. I searched and found pictures of others on the web that have the same angled piece just below the downtube...on G&L website in fact... Anyone else see this before...

I recently bought a hardtail project from someone who, in my opinion, butchered up this frame and hack welded it back together. The weld is just caked on everywhere, but he swore that I can just grind away to smooth it out and it will be fine. Take a look at the picture. I think he cut too...
