    PWK Carb install questions

I recently purchased the PWK carb kit from Mikesxs and have a question about the setup. There were no diagrams or instructions. The fuel line connection is clear but there are three other barbs (~1/8") with clear tubing attached that I'm not sure what they're for. Two are located on each side...

Hello, might anyone have a good idea if one could easily swap away from a tank with dual petcocks, to a tank with a single? For example, my original tank on my 76' is a loss. Ive seen several later models both Standard and Special that feature only a single petcock... Any good reason why...

Do These Hoses Connect To Each Other?

Hey Guys, I'm new to mechanical work and I'm restoring a 1980 Yamaha XS 650 SG as a hobby project to learn. I've gone through and cleaned the carbs, changed the oil, replaced the battery, and next is cleaning the fuel tank. The issue I'm having is that I have two hoses that are disconnected...

    Should this be loose?

I rebuilt my B34 carbs and the Fuel line T is loose. I don't remember any o-rings in the chambers where the T fits the 2 carbs, but maybe when I stripped them down, they fell out. I'm looking to test start it on the stand, so as I don't want a fire, can you give me a heads up on if they should...

Aftermarket Stock-type Air Filter ('83 Special)

When I bought my '83 Special this summer the PO had recently purchased new aftermarket filters for the stock air box. Pics attached of what I found. He was a MikesXS customer, so I believe them to be Mikes item # 15-0655. If someone else has these particular filters, I have a couple questions...

    Two right-handed Mikuni VM34 carbs

Hi all, I've been offered a pair of brand new Mikuni VM34 carbs that seem to be well jetted for an XS650 in standard trim. The price is good, but they appear to both be right-hand carbs. From what I can see the only difference between RH and LH Mikunis is the placement of the idle/slide...

My bike came with a set of mikuni vm round slides on them. I'm not as familiar with them as I am the stock mikunis. 650 Central Carbs - Stupid Newbie Question

I recently purchased the Mikuni VM34MM Round Slide Kits from 650 Central. Today, I took off the old stock carbs and airboxes and installed the new ones. I chose the Uni pod airfilters so that I can use the stock side covers. What are the two clear plastic hoses for? The stock carbs had one...

I just bought my first 650. It is a 75 and I am pretty stoked on it. I do have a 76 cb550 and love the old bikes. The CB is pretty stock and I want to heavily modify the 650. I am going through the bike now and noticed that the foam on the filters for the carbs are gummy with a red sticky...
