Need help on rear wheel alignment

So here's the deal, I have a 74 frame with a voodoo vintage hardtail on it. We did the hardtail ourselves, not the first time we have done one and we measured a million times to make sure it was on straight. So now the motor is in and we are trying to get the rear wheel lined up on the axle so...

Triple tree holes don't match headlight bracket

I'm looking to put either a tc bros or monstercraftsman headlight bracket on my 83 xs. I went to look at the triple tree and noticed that the holes don't match up and seems to have the front brake cable anchored on there. Has any found a way around this or know of another similar bracket I could...

    Extended speedo cable

My 78 XS has a 5 or 6 inch extended front end. Anybody make an extended speedo cable that doesn't cost a fortune? I don't think I would like the little 6 inch extenders they sell, but that might be the end result. I'd rather have a clean one piece thing.

This winter I plan to pull the motor to at least do a topend rebuild, maybe more and will be striping the frame to paint/powder, but in the meantime I would like to ride and for it to look done before the snow flies. Would anyone have a recommendation on a good brush on paint I could use to hit...

Enlarging holes in a 21" rim

Last night I tried to lace up a 21" DID rim with a dual disc XS hub and got to the last 2 spokes and could not get them. Some spokes line up well and have lots of play while others still have the nipple sticking out of the rim where it looks like they are hanging up. The first course of 9 on...

    Is it worth it?

I am looking at a basket case(my first build) and am wondering, is it worth the time and money I'm gonna put into it? Its a $200 rust bucket that I plan to chop and stretch a little. I have some leftover parts that came with a CB750 I bought and they are Yamaha parts!! Thanks!

I would LOVE your build input!! (Cafe Style)? any at all!

So I got this bike a few weeks ago, with 5000 miles on it. It was sold to me as a 1980 special. Seams to run/ride just fine. I am an artist, NOT a mechanic or a fabricator (altho I wish I were). I just finished a Yamaha Vstar 1100, but it was 95% bolt on stuff (see pict) SO, now I would like...

Calling out all who are running Harley 39mm front ends.

ok all, I'm having a hard time getting the right roller bearings to make this front end work. I just left my local bearing shop and they told me that there are no bearings that will go down to the size I need. I have a 39mm front end off a 1998 sportster with a 1" stem My bike had...

    Chain tensioner.

Extended frame hardtail builds often use a spring loaded chain tensioner which needs some kinda frame attachment. The maintenance free self adjusting roller chain tensioner from Mcmaster-Carr http://www.mcmaster.com/#chain-tensioners/=t5djya Just sits there, eh?
