    OEM Style Mufflers

Greetings Everyone, I am looking for a source for OEM style exhaust for a '75 XS650B. I have looked in all the usual places- Mikes XS, Whitney, Dennis Kirk, and elsewhere. All the mufflers I find are significantly shorter than the 35" original length on my '75 XS560B. Any help or links...

    Headpipe question(s)....

Looking to ditch the stock trumpet exhaust on my 650... I like the look of the 2-2 headpipes. Is there any difference between the MAC 1.5" headpipes and the XS Performance 1.5" headpipes? The only thing I can see is like 2" of length. The shape and build look very similar, if not...

    Desert sled exhaust

I would get an exhaust like on the Triumph TR6. I do not know where to start. Are there aftermarket ones for the 650? Do they have to be fabricated? If anyone has done this or know of a bike that has them; I would appreciate the info. Rick XS650SF

    Header Wrap... Brand/Source/Tips?

I've never wrapped headers before. Does anyone have a recommendation for a brand name or source of a decent wrap? Should I be considering a wider or thinner wrap? How do I figure out how much I need? THANKS! Adam

    '75 exhaust "castle nut" removal

I have a nice set of stock exhausts for my '75 XS650B. There is an exhaust gasket (part #9) that appears to go between the "castle nut" and the mufflers. How do you get that nut off? The mufflers are in nice shape. I'd like to change that gasket, but not at the expense of damaging the mufflers.

    Quiet down open exhaust

In my quest to subdue the audible volume of my exhaust. It sounds great from start up to 3000 rpm, it gets annoying around 4000 + rpm. I don't want to make a "Q" ship just more pleasent at 70 mph. I found these guys. It seems something like this can be homebuilt. Any suggestions. :shrug...

    Header Wrap

XSives, I know that road racers will do anything they can, within rules limitations of course, to get more fractional horsepower out of their machines, but this same need generally doesn't apply to those of us who use our bikes on the streets. And I know that wrapping headers is one way of...
