    Bigger Mufflers

Hey fellas, I just finished retro fitting some short screamin eagle mufflers for a Harley to my xs. It’s just the tailpipe and the header pipe is still stock standard apart from chopping about 70mm off the last internal portion of the header. But the ID is still the same. I’m curious as to...

    Bitsa bike built from parts

The Bitsa bike was built from all the spare parts I had laying around and finished off with parts from evil bay, it has a Triumph headlight with Lucas indicators and BSA Goldstar mufflers, sounds very loud!

    Exhaust and muffler advice

My bike came with a new set of Pandemonium Double D pipes but I want something much quieter. I don’t see many pipe/muffler options that essentially follow the original layout. Do I need to buy pieces and have it welded up? Or buy old stock pipes and paint the chrome? Something more or less...

Wanted - 1 single "Cocktail Shaker" or short megaphone wanted

I am looking for a suitable "Coctail Shaker" or other short/small megaphone for a small single cylinder bike. See attached picture of a "Cocktail Shaker" for reference. No baffle desired or required. Ideally something made for 1 3/8" (35 mm) exhaust pipe, but 1 1/2" (38 mm) can also be used, if...

Source of cheap, generic "Coctail Shaker Muffler" for 1 3/8" pipe.

This question is related to my other headpipe thread for my Suzuki 125/143 project. I have been thinking about a suitable megaphone for this bike, and wonder if a "Cocktail Shaker" can be used, in a modified form. They used to be available in many versions, but now most seem to be for 1 3/4"...

    Mystery muffler

Hello, I’m new to this forum and to the xs650. I recently purchased a stockish 77. I have a fair amount of work ahead of me to get it road worthy but hopefully nothing major. As of now it looks like alot of wear items. For example swing arm bushing, neck bearings, fork seals and other odds and...

    Muffler replacement

When I bought my bike it came with this 2 Into 1 exhaust that sounds like a tin can. It high pitches and crackly and sounds like a dirt bike. I want it to sound quieter, low pitches and muffled like a purr. What's the best way to accomplish this sound? I know a 2 into 2 exhaust is favorable...

Muffler bracket acorn nut size and thread

the stud for my muffler bracket got damaged as i was removing the acorn nut (#13) a little chip popped off and tore up some of the threads on the way out. It could be fixed with a die but im unsure of the threading. It seems to be a 12mm stud but i have read that the bolts on the bracket (#14)...

Any Exhaust mufflers available for the xs650, without needing rejetting?

Hey guys, was looking at getting some new exhaust for my bike (1981 xs650). The stock baffles in the stock muffles have rusted out, causing the bike to sound like crab, especially when down shifting. I was just curious if anyone knows if there are any exhaust mufflers that have the same amount...

    For Sale - Delkevic Header

Brand New Delkevic Header for sale. I have had two of these because I thought I was going to need to chop one up for the creation of a unique header system on my bike. Turns out I didn't need the second set. So now I have a Brand New set of headers intended for a '79. I believe it will fit...
