I have a rim I would like to use but at the moment its chromed. My question is can the chrome be removed and be powdercoated? I would presume it would have to be media blasted one way or another but is there a best way to do it? I should have added the reason why I am asking this question...

how hot will a xs650 (soon to be 750) get. i want to paint my engine shine deep black, but the only shiny paint i found sofar is engine enamel from por15. por15 is good till 230degrees celcius.and i think it's not uv proof??? any other paint options are welkom. thanks in advance grtz Tre
