How to Repair a Bent Clamp on a Fork Tree/Yoke

Is there anyway I can bend this clamp on my triple tree back into position other than taking a hammer to it and hoping for the best, or does it need to be completely replaced? The main issue is that the bolt threading is not aligned so I can't clamp in my right fork :(

    Fork Brace

A while back I installed a fork brace from Mike's XS. Never did like it, front end seemed very stiff, so I pulled the fork out to see what was going on. The brace was putting a tremendous side load on the tubes. Next I'll try one from Hugh's Handbuilt.

Removing the steering stem from the lower triple

Folks, I'm thinking about mounting an XS (34mm) front end on another brand of vintage bike I have here in the shop. The only spare XS triple I have (for now) is off my parts bike and it's spent a LOT of time outside and is in pretty nasty shape. My question is......can the steering stem be...

    Thanks for the parts, Guys.

The list's classifieds found me bargains in a hydraulic linear steering damper off of some kinda Suzi from DaddyG and XS650-specific damper mounting hardware from Grizld that practically defined NOS; I swear the parts were older than half the list's membership. So here's a brief write-up on the...

I get asked this question a bunch and there are KITS and MANY threads on installing HARLEY fronts and SPRINGER fronts on XS650 also so many others that can fit. Hey all, I ordered some of the rubber fork dust wiper boots from 650 cental but they dont seem to snap securely into the grooves on the fork body's. Hey guys, I have a set of fork lowers that will not hold back oil, even with new fork seals. Apparently when the last guy changed the seals, they just pried against the weak aluminum cracking them / changed the shape of the cup that holds the seal. My bike is a 1975 and I have a local...
