Hi im tempted to go down the route of 16" spoked wheels on my bobber. I have tried to find the info I need on here but have decided to ask for help! So I've found that there are xs650 16 spoked rear wheels and am I right in thinking there 2.75"? And do a 16" front am I best off using a rear wheel and lacing my original front hub to the rear rim with custom spokes? Im looking to run 5.00 X 16 tyres... Is a 2.75 rim enough or would I need 3" rim... Again if I need a 3" rim what's best way about it? Pfa pic of my bobber for reference

Cheers james

Hi James,
FWIW, Yamaha specified a 3" wide rim for their 130/90-16 rear tyres and I reckon that if those cheap bastards could have gotten away with
using a less expensive 2.75" wide rim instead they would have.
What I'd worry about is if a 130-width tyre would fit in between the fork sliders.

use the 2.75, its a tight fit. an old member here has done it a few times, cant find any pics though
