Hello all. Long time rider and half-assed mechanic, first time xs650 owner. Picked up a nice 79 last week and have some nice plans for it. From what I can tell it's a special 2. It been converted bateryless with a pamco and the smallest capacitor I've ever seen. I'm going for a lightncafe/brat build. Already ordered a 77 standard tank and am in the process of switching out stock lights for the right leds. Next up, detabbing and a new seat, without cutting the hoop. Pics posted as progress made.
