I have for sale a 1980 parts bike. No title. It has the drum mag wheel. The front wheel? Let's start at $200. Pick up only. I live in Celina,Ohio. Motor seized. Not gonna piece it out. All or notta. Thanks for looking.

Drum brake mag was a one-year only (1981). "Seized" could be corrosion on the generator rotor, making it "stick" to the stator (that's what happened to "The Basketcase"). Just sayin', 'cuz the side cover is off (don't know how long it's been like that, but if it looks like it's full of barnacles, try getting on the crank bolt with a breaker bar, and "bonking" it with a rubber mallet). :twocents:

I too wish this was in KS. It reminds me of the stuff I bought last weekend. Your ad is precise and to the point. I like that. Here`s what you would expect to get from a CL ad worded just the same with the same pics.:shootme:
Does it run?
Will you sell it with a warranty?
How old is the battery?
Would you be willing to go to the DMV and get the title?
Does all the electrical work?
How much compression does it have?
Can you provide a list of all the previous owners?
Does it have the owners manual?
Can it be ridden from Ohio to Ks?
Do you have the tank & seat?
Would you be willing to deliver this half way for free?
Would you take partial trade for a fishing boat?
How much are the taxes & tag each year?
How much for just the rear wheel and left side carb?
Will this pass the safety inspection as is?
How much will it cost to restore it?
I don`t have a truck or trailer but would you sell it for $50 delivered?
Would you hold this until April or May when I get my income tax return?
Do you offer a money back return period?
Can you take to my mechanic so he can take a look at it?
Most important of all "I want it but I`ll have to ask my Wife".
And the stupid Shit just keeps on coming.:yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

Well worth your asking price. Good luck with your sale.

Haha! Thanks I needed a laugh!

You may want to edit your title. The bike is clearly a 1981 Special or Special II. It might make a difference to someone.
Note the one pic says 11/1980. So late 1980. I bought a bunch of these at once and it's likely that isn't the original rear wheel. Did what I had to so they could be moved around. I did read the drum mag was only one year before. I'm not hung up on the details on this one. Hence "Parts bike" and I just want it out of my garage. Thanks for looking.
